ARP ODYSSEYSince its inception in 1972, the ARP Odyssey has become a renowned analog synthesizer, featured on numerous recordings.

However, for several years, it was quite difficult to find.

In 2015, KORG invited ARP Instruments co-founder David Friend as an advisor and resumed hardware production.

The KORG ARP ODYSSEY is a software version of the

Mono/PolyThe Mono/Poly analog synthesizer, released simultaneously with the Polysix in 1981, combined Korg’s previous analog synthesizers into a single, groundbreaking synthesizer.

Although it was a monophonic synthesizer with a thick, four-voice sound, it had a groundbreaking specification that allowed it to also be used as a four-voice polyphonic synthesizer, a valuable feature since polyphonic synthesizers were expensive at the time.

It was renowned for its versatility in sound creation, using four VCOs (voltage-controlled oscillators) in combination with the Polysix, including oscillator sync and cross-modulation.
